1.重视“小词”
同学们在写作的时候，是不是都想要用一些比较少见的词汇，也就是所谓的“大词”，但是在大家准备用这个“大词”的时候有没有思考过这个“大词”适不适合这里的语境，毕竟每个相近词义的单词还是有或多或少的区别。
对于作文而言，老师建议大家在写作的过程中多用“小词”，因为在评分过程中更看重的是我们的用词多样性，而不是单词的难度，所以我们在写作的时候，用适当的表达方式去进行同义替换就可以了。比如看到“我认为”，只要不是一直写“I think”，换成“for my part”之类的都可以。还有比如，我们在表达“许多”的时候，除了常见的many，several，a lot of等，我们还可以用：a body of，a host of。不需要记住非常冷僻的单词，学会同一表达的多样性表述，就可以增强我们文章的语言的丰富性。
2.重视条理性
在我们写图画作文的时候，在寓意阐释段落有许多要分条写的分析，因此一点一点的来书写，这样的格式条理清楚，考官们也可以通过这些关键性的词组来判定你的文章是否结构清楚，条理自然。方法很简单，只要把下面任何一组的词汇加入到你的几个要点前就清楚了。

3.重视细节描述
写文章在自己的能力范围之内还是应该多写一些细节的东西，不要一直空谈。
这就要求描述一点要到位。比如我们说一个“好”的时候，不应该只说nice这样空洞的词，应该使用一些诸如generous(慷慨的), humorous(幽默的), interesting(有趣的), smart(精干的), gentle(温柔的), warm-hearted(热心的), hospital(好客的)之类的形象词。
